I grew up in a small town where Eastern Medicine didn’t really exist. I only knew about the world of antibiotics and a trip to the doctor’s office when I had a sore throat. To me, there was always something missing in Western Medicine, whether it be the lack of preventative care, or the overabundance of pharmaceuticals.
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at the University of California San Diego, hoping to fulfill my dream of going into the infinite study of astronomy. By the end of my studies, I knew I needed something more. I desired a career that I was truly passionate about, and one in which I could help people on an interpersonal level. That’s when I discovered Chinese Medicine. It was one of those moments in life where everything fell into place and I felt truly connected to the world around me. I had discovered how I fit into the vast puzzle of the universe.
From then I went on to attend a four-year Master’s program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. I fell in love with everything the Medicine had to offer and was amazed at the wonderful ability of the human body to heal itself. We all fall out of balance at some point in our lives through lifestyle choices, but through Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine we can bring ourselves back into balance.
During my studies, I gravitated towards Japanese Acupuncture (learn more here), as it seemed more spiritually inclined and allowed me to really use my intuition and innate ability to connect energetically with people on a deeper level. Through this, I have learned how to let my hands do the talking and how to channel energy into Acupuncture points. I know the importance of spending extra time with my patients and giving everybody the love that we all deserve. I truly have a deep passion for this Medicine and hope to share it with everyone who crosses my path.
I treat any and all imbalances, but love to treat migraines/headaches, autoimmune disorders, emotional imbalances, women's hormonal imbalances, and anyone who relates to being a highly sensitive person.
